Please join George Kahn, Pat Kelley, David Hughes, Alex
Acuña and special guests for SOME GOOD JAZZ NEWS, a Virtual Video Premiere Party: This Sunday December 6.
To celebrate the release of his 10th album, DreamCatcher,
George has put together an hour of GOOD
JAZZ NEWS including the premiere of three new videos.
The hour-long live Internet broadcast will feature “The Essence of Music: DreamCatcher – Behind The Scenes”, a never before seen inside look at the creation of the studio album. In addition we have the premiere of “EVA”, a new music video from the album.
More Good Jazz News will also be shared by the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood CA, as well as representatives from PATH (People Assisting The Homeless). The show will feature a clip from PATH JAZZ NIGHT 2020, a recent jazz fundraiser featuring The Jazz & Blues Revue.
This FREE broadcast goes LIVE this Sunday 12/6 at 6:00 PM PT at https://youtu.be/UpjZbjp226c
Jazz stalwarts George
Kahn and Pat Kelley join forces
to create DreamCatcher, a new 12-song set. Their piano/guitar quartet
sound is so simpatico, it was only a matter of time before they would put out
an album. DreamCatcher brings us
standards ranging from Stardust
(1927) to Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight
(1972), as well as a few new originals. As with all George Kahn albums, there are plenty of subtle tributes to the jazz
greats, like Dave Brubeck, The Modern
Jazz Quartet, Wes Montgomery/Wynton Kelly, and Bill Evans/Jim Hall.
DreamCatcher gets its first review
DAN MCCLENAGHAN really "got" the new DreamCatcher Album:
"The music of The Modern Jazz Quartet was often referred to as "chamber jazz," and that is what George Kahn has created here with Dreamcatcher."
